A renovated four-storey haven where wild nature meets focused work.

Cobana is a former guesthouse transformed into a bioregional coliving hub. Every element has been designed to support both deep individual work and spontaneous collaboration.

The house sits at the edge of Zărnești, where the town gives way to forest. From here, the Piatra Craiului mountains rise like a limestone spine, and trails lead directly into some of Europe's last true wilderness.

Coworking and Creation Space

The first floor houses a dedicated coworking area with standing desks, natural light, and views of the garden. Additional work nooks are scattered throughout the house — a window seat here, a corner desk there — so you can find your rhythm. Outside, the pavilion serves triple duty: a fire-warmed gathering space in the evenings, a shaded workspace by day, and occasionally an open-air cinema under the stars.

The Kitchen: Where Community Happens

Fully equipped and recently renovated, the kitchen is the heart of Cobana. Shared meals emerge spontaneously. Late-night conversations unfold over local wines. The best collaborations often start here, over chopped vegetables and the smell of coffee.

Common Areas

The dining room and lounge areas flow together on the first floor, opening onto the garden. These are spaces for both structured gatherings — weekly circles, workshops, presentations — and unstructured connection.
