The host

The story started when David stayed in a co-living in the French Alps where he met Victor and Miquel. What brought them together was the interest in creating environments in which people can co-exist with nature. A more natural world to live in.

What seemed to be lacking was a place where people could come together from different backgrounds and disciplines to exchange ideas and collaborate towards this more natural world.

David had lived in Romania a few years ago and saw the magic of this country. Because of his love for nature, he met the Romanian athlete Dan with whom he discovered the Transylvanian mountains. On the trips through the mountains, they spoke about the beauty, the wilderness, the fascinating history, the contrast, and the opportunities of Transylvania.

After many years in aviation and now determined to create a place of exchange, David went back to Romania to meet Dan and found a beautiful pension for sale. David currently runs Cobana where his mission is to enable guests to reach their professional goals, exchange knowledge, and build new partnerships towards a sustainable global society.
